Road Noise Cancellation Sensors (RNC) reduce noise within the vehicle cabin. The sensors convert vehicle chassis vibration in a signal that generates a cancellation soundwave, increasing comfort and improving the driver/passenger experience, acting like road noise barriers. Both the Interior and External Acoustic Noise Cancellation (ANC) Sensors, which are phantom-powered slave units employing differential pairs, convert airborne noise into digital electrical signals, creating cancellation soundwaves. Molex sensors also deliver reduced wire harness weight by more than 30% compared to other active noise cancellation systems, because the components are daisy-chained by twisted-pair discrete cabling and Mini50 Sealed Connectors.
