The FTP-628SR601R is a thermal printer for use with 2-inch–wide thermal paper. The printer has a printing speed of 60 mm/s (approximately 480 dots/s), and a resolution of 8 dots/mm. The printer has both a top and bottom paper feed for multiple design, and the paper release mechanism allows for compact designs. The FTP-628SR601R has different power requirements for the logic, printer, and cutter motor, with a maximum voltage of 8.5 VDC for the mechanical components and 5 VDC for the logic. The printer has a life expectancy of 100 million dots and an abrasion resistance of 50 km (i.e., up to 50 km of paper feed). Multiple internal sensors provide the printer the ability to detect the head temperature, no paper, and head state.
