Switch from an AC voltage to a DC voltage using a Schottky diode VBT6045C-E3/8W rectifier from Vishay. Its peak non-repetitive surge current is 320 A, while its maximum continuous forward current is 60 A. This rectifier has a minimum operating temperature of -40 °C and a maximum of 150 °C.
