Hello, I’m Jeannette Legge. The performance standards for the transportation industry require connectors that are suited for high vibration and durability for interior applications such as telematics, safety chastity, and infotainment. Molex offers several unsealed connectors to meet these demands and deliver unsurpassed space savings.
The Stac64 system is USCAR validated and allows OEM superior design flexibility with its range of .64, 1.5, 2.8mm terminal headers. Assemblies are stacked together to form custom modules in sizes up to 20 circuits. Lighting, entertainment, navigation, and power seat modules benefit from the range of low level signal and power supplied, up to 30 amps.
Compliant to the new USCAR .5mm interface, the Mini50 wire to board system with various polarization options, achieves 50% space savings over traditional .64 mm connectors. Hinged receptacles simplify assembly while a small wire gauge reduces overall harness weight, resulting in lower applied costs. Small terminals enable more circuits to be packed into applications such as lighting steering wheel columns, and sensors.
Our DuraClik wire to board system is the only 2mm solutions tested to SAE Automotive vibration standards. The positive lock and suadered nails provide grounding and secure PCB retention, even in high vibration applications. Available in 2 through 8 circuits DuraClik connectors are ideal for onboard instrumentation.
Molex leverages its expertise in the high speed data communications market with HSAutoLink, a USCAR USB fully compliant system. Cable assemblies mate with keyed headers allowing for various packaging options and enhanced design flexibility. Customer conveniences modules provide plug ins for MP3 players and other portable devices. High speed data ports connect USB, Firewiere, and Ethernet technology for entertainment modules high resolution radio and navigation systems and safety cameras.
